Frequently asked questions
Water is included in the rent and also access to all the facilities. Complimentary Wi Fi and twice a month cleaning of selected areas. Limited fitness classes. Student At Home only covers the monthly electricity service and wire charges. We encourage residents to consume water and electricity reasonably.
We require one month rental as deposit.
Your deposit is held until the end of your tenancy. If the room is delivered in the same condition you received it, we will refund the full deposit. The deposit will be refunded within 30 days from the official tenancy end date.

Student At Home priority is 12 month contracts. 11 and 6 month contracts are subject to availability.
If the tenant chooses to cancel this lease prior to the expiry of the initial period, the tenant must give the Landlord 90 (Ninety) Business Days’ written notice in advance. In the event of termination of the tenancy agreement due to the breach of the tenancy agreement by the tenant, the tenant shall pay a penalty of 2 or more months’ rent to Student At Home. Rental payment is required until the end of tenancy and is not considered to be deducted from the deposit.
Any full-time or part-time student or young professional who is 18 or older can make a reservation and live at Student At Home.
A copy of your ID for local student or passport for non-South African citizen.
Proof of address and 3 months bank statements.
You are responsible for cleaning your apartment.
However, you can get in touch with our team to organise extra cleaning at an additional cost.
Smoking and vaping is strictly prohibited inside the building. We do have dedicated smoking areas on site.
